Who's enjoying it the most?
Told you it was a tough call. Or maybe you don't find the videos remotely interesting or amusing - nothing to do with your family or friends after all.
Sorry it's been so long since my last post. I had intended to try and update with some thoughts every day. Well we'll have to see about that.
Anyway, what news! We have a fantastically beautiful wonderful warm and snugly cuddly new baby daughter.
Emily was born at 2.11pm on Thursday 17th September. Weight 8lbs 8.5oz, length 56cm, head circumference 32cm. If you're like me then the length and head circumference are a bit superfluous really. It's not something I ever ask about. Having said that, I think asking the weight is just some kind of ingrained society tradition thing. It's not like I collect these statistics and analyse them in any particular way. In fact I can honestly say I have absolutely no recollection whatsoever of the birthweight of anybody else's babies.
I digress, I'll post 'Emily' pics later. Back to the videos. They were hilariously good fun to take part in but it really is a very tough call to work out (in relation to the last post) whether being the father is more fun than being the child or vice versa.
Am I waffling?
That's it for now then. As I said, pics of Emily to come.

Childhood
Just been thinking about the last post and thought what about childhood? Fatherhood v. childhood? It's a toughy.
Needs a bit more thinking about.
I'll return to this after more contemplation......

Fatherhood
Heading my way again within the next few days hopefully - I think? Wonder if it's a girl or a boy?
I can thoroughly recommend it so far. I have a 12yo girl and 6yo boy at present. Just realised that this one will be another 6 year gap. THat could be it now though - another 6 years might be pushing it a bit.
So is Fatherhood 'The Answer'?
Watch this space.

Samsung Kart Game
Great fun but deprives you of sleep. Should've learnt my lesson yesterday - or was it today?

Too many gadgets
Seems I'm not so energetic as I thought. Just found the distance measuring tool on google maps only to find I ran 4 miles and cycled 8. Thought I'd measured them in the car in the past. Oh well.
Edit: But I did weigh 84.4kg this morning, so not all bad! :-)

Health & Fitness
First of all, forgetting the title for a sec, I know that I am now actually in my 43rd year - for all you pedants out there. If at some point during this experiment I realise I did actually have the answer sometime last year I'll let you know.
Anyway, back to the title - I have at various points throughout my life been considerably fitter than at present. DOes that mean healthier too? Probably. By the way - see that capital 'O' in does earlier. DO i have to keep going back and editing my text or could you live with it? I was very much a perfectionist during my early years, but I'm beginning to think that it's not all it's cracked up to be.
So, ' Health & Fitness' - I'm not suggesting that's the answer, at least not yet anyway. That would be far too quick and make for an exceedingly short blog. However, I have found that being healthier and fitter usually does lead to happier too. Towhit, (no idea if that's spelt correctly or even used in the right context, I just liked the sound of it) yesterday and today I have purposefully EXERCISED - a 4.2 mile run (and I use 'run' in the very loosest terms) and today a 10 mile cycle ride. Tomorrow - who knows?
I weighed 85.2kg this morning, hopefully on the way down.
Laters!
